In May 2018, we launched one of our major education campaign called #BiraturabaTwese, which means “It concerns us all”. This campaign aims to break the taboo around menstruation and start talking and sharing knowledge on menstrual health and menstrual hygiene.
In honor of the International Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 29th, we held a training section in one of the identified schools located in Rumonge Province – Muhuta commune. Girls from 2 schools (Rutunga and Gitaza) completed a training session on menstruation hygiene management.
After the training, sanitary napkins and soaps were distributed to participants. A follow-up session is scheduled for December 2018.
